RS232 to E1 Converter

This device adopts a large-scale FPGA design, and it provides 1 E1 interface and 1 RS232 serial interface for transmitting RS232 over the E1. It overcomes the contradiction between the distance and communication rate of traditional serial interfaces. It also solves the problems of electromagnetic interference, ground loop interference, and lightning damage, greatly improving the reliability, security, and confidentiality of data communication.

The device can be widely used in various industrial control, process control, and traffic control applications, especially suitable for banks, power utilities, and departments/systems with special requirements for electromagnetic interference environments. The communication rate of the serial port can reach 256KBPS.

● The device is equipped with the ability to automatically detect the baud rate of the serial port signal.

● It automatically detects power-off of the remote device or E1 disconnection when a malfunction occurs, and indicates it on the LEDs.

● The serial port interface of the device is designed to withstand lightning strikes according to the IEC61000-4-5 (8/20μS) standard. It can handle Differential Mode: 6KV with impedance of 2Ω and Common Mode: 6KV with impedance of 2Ω.

● The E1 interface of the device supports both adaptive 120Ω/balanced and 75Ω/unbalanced impedance.

● The device’s serial data channels are capable of transmitting asynchronous serial data with baud rates ranging from 300 to 256Kbps, adapting automatically.
