Industrial USB to 2-Port RS485 Converter (6KV lightning protection)

This device’s basic function is USB to 2-port 6KV lightning protection high-speed RS485 conversion. The device is powered through the USB port, eliminating the need for an external power source. It utilizes a unique zero-delay automatic transceiver conversion technology, making it plug-and-play compatible with all software. It also features transmit/receive enable control, where it outputs a high-impedance state when in standby mode without transmitting data. Additionally, it supports multi-point communication.

● The communication cable should be shielded twisted pair with a minimum cross-sectional area of 0.5mm copper. The maximum communication distance is 3000 meters (4800bps), 2000 meters (9600bps), or 1000 meters (115.2Kbps).

● It can accommodate a minimum of 128 network nodes, with the maximum number of network nodes determined by the RS485 input impedance of each node.

● It has 5 LED status indicators: power (red), receive data for the two serial ports (orange), and transmit data for the two serial ports (green), facilitating status monitoring.

● The USB port is gold-plated, and the device is powered through USB. The operating current is less than 30mA. The USB interface provides protection against electrostatic discharge up to ±15kV (air) and ±8kV (contact). It also offers EFT protection up to 40A (5/50ns) and lightning protection up to 5A (8/20us).

● The 2-channel RS485 interface is equipped with three-level lightning protection, meeting the GB/T17626.5 (IEC61000-4-5) standard. It provides a short-circuit current wave of 10/700μs and an open-circuit peak output voltage of 6KV with an internal resistance of 40Ω.
