Industrial Rail Intelligent 8*RS485 Hub (with short-circuit detection and isolation function)

The 8-channel RS485 isolated hub features one-to-eight fully electrically isolated RS485 channels. Each RS485 channel on the isolated hub is equipped with 6kV lightning protection, optical isolation with an isolation voltage up to 3kV, and independent grounding. This design ensures that if one RS485 bus is damaged, the devices on the other RS485 buses remain protected. Each RS485 port can support up to 128 nodes. The power port also features 6kV lightning protection.

The device includes line short-circuit and data error detection and isolation functions, common mode inductance differential filtering, and an FPGA digital filter. It supports communication distances of up to 2200 meters (at 9600bps), making it widely applicable in complex industrial systems.

● Based on FPGA design, featuring common mode inductance differential filtering and FPGA digital filters, capable of filtering line spikes and automatically generating precise RS485 transceiver enable signals according to the transmitted data.

● Each RS485 channel has 6kV lightning protection, 3kV optical isolation, independent shielded ground interfaces, and LED indicators. It uses a 3kV DC-DC power supply for isolation, with communication signals isolated by high-speed optocouplers.

● The power supply ground is isolated from the ground of the 9 RS485 channels, and the grounds of channels No.1-9 are mutually isolated with 3kV electrical isolation. Direct AC220V or AC380V voltage input will not damage the isolated end.

● Equipped withline short-circuit detection and data error detection functions, it can detect A-B short circuits in RS485 lines and receive data errors (e.g., when data with consecutive zeros longer than 300bps is received due to node failure). Upon detecting an error, it automatically isolates the problematic line channel, indicated by an LED.

●  The uplink serial port is selectable between RS232, RS485, and RS422, supporting multi-machine communication. Each RS485 channel can support up to 128 enhanced nodes, with a maximum transmission distance of 2200 meters (at 9600bps).

●  The RS485 interface has three levels of lightning protection, meeting GB/T17626.5 (IEC61000-4-5) standards for short-circuit current wave 10/700μs, open-circuit peak output voltage of 6kV, and an internal resistance of 40 ohms.

●  Supports a wide range of 9-70V AC and DC power input; supports internal isolation, redundant dual power input; supports overload protection and reverse connection protection.

●  Complies with industrial-grade electromagnetic compatibility requirements; features robust lightning protection, including resistance to lightning strikes, high voltage induction, and surge protection.

●  Fanless efficient heat dissipation, reducing repair time.
