Industrial 16 Port RS485 Hub

The 16-channel RS485 isolation hub features 16 fully electrically isolated RS485 channels, each with an independent RS485 transceiver, capable of achieving very low transmission delay for 16 channels. It complies with the RS485 standard and supports transparent, protocol-independent RS485 message transmission, making it suitable for various applications such as the Modbus protocol.

If you need to connect monitoring devices such as PCs to the network, the upstream port of the 16-channel RS485 isolation hub can be configured with an RS232 port, eliminating the need for additional RS485 to RS232 converter devices. In the event of lightning or device failure, the problematic network segment will be isolated to ensure the normal operation of other network segments. This greatly enhances the reliability of the existing RS485 network and effectively reduces network maintenance time.

Each channel of the 16-channel RS485 isolation hub has a 6kV lightning protection ability, optocoupling isolation, and an isolation voltage of up to 2.5KV, with independent grounding for each channel. This ensures that when one RS485 bus is damaged, devices on other RS485 buses are protected. Each RS485 port can carry up to 128 devices and has 6kV lightning protection ability, protecting communication products and increasing reliability.

● Based on an FPGA design, the device can automatically generate precise RS485 transmission/reception switching enable signals according to the transmitted data, which can automatically detect and control the RS485 data flow. This method of signal generation is far superior to the enable signal generation method used by ordinary Schmitt triggers.

● Each RS485 channel has a 6kV lightning protection ability, 2.5KV optocoupling isolation, independent shielding and grounding interfaces, and LED indicators for transmission and reception.

● Each RS485 channel can be loaded with at least 32 standard nodes or 128 enhanced nodes.

● In the event of lightning or device failure, the problematic network segment will be isolated to ensure the normal operation of other network segments.

● The upstream port supports RS232/422/485, with optional baud rates of 0-115200bps.

● It is powered by a DC-DC isolated voltage of 2500V, which enhances its applicability and the communication signal uses high-speed optocoupler isolation.

● It supports a wide range of 9-55V AC/DC power inputs, internal isolation, and redundant dual power inputs.
